Why is the Kodak Zi8 Sold Out EVERYWHERE?

Is the Kodak Zi8 sold out everywhere because

a) there are hardware/firmware issues/problems that are being addressed?

-or-

b) people are buying them like hot cakes and Kodak/Amazon can’t stock them fast enough?

I HIGHLY doubt b) because this Amazon, Kodak, major companies that know to keep supply in demand especially during the holiday season…

Wonder if anyone can shed some light…

Kodak Zi8 – How do you change the type of file that it records as (default MOV)?

It records by default to MOV format, how do I change this? The reason I want to change it is because I can’t edit MOV files in Windows Movie Maker and using online converters usually take me hours for a short 3 minute video clip.

The software that comes with this camera (arcsoft impressions for Kodak) will only allow you to save your movies in a .MOV file. There is no other choices. What software will allow me to edit my movies? When I try and load into Adobe Premier Elements it says the files are not supported. Thanks.
